Postpartum weightloss plan.
Losing the baby weight after birth, postpartum weightloss. How to lose the postpartum belly.
It’s a BIG topic, its kinda taboo and its kinda sickening the way the media AND social media will make you feel.
AND it honestly is a GREAT marketing strategy for many weight loss business. I won’t lie in my past online health coaching, I used my own postpartum body as a means to market weightloss. I have to tell you, I would share over and over that health trumps ALL but can I tell you the ONLY tactic that took well was when I used words like:
- postpartum weight-loss plan.
- post pregnancy weight-loss diet plan,
- quickest way to lose weight after having a baby,
- best post pregnancy diets.
- post pregnancy weight loss exercise,
- rapid weight loss after pregnancy.
- baby weight loss after birth,
- No Fad Diets
- No Hours of daily exercise
- No restriction
- No weird pill or fat blockers
- No starvation
ANYHOW the point of this is that I always had the mindset that EXERCISE was the answer to weight loss. That one MUST exercise in order to lose weight; anyone else feel me on this?? After my third baby was born; I reached a point of wisdom. All the exercise in the world would not bring me back to my jeans. Exercise can have a ROLE in this journey but if you continue to put in food in your mouth that is not supporting your goals, and use exercise as the answer–it ain’t gonna happen.
FOOD, NUTRITION is the answer to your weight loss journey after baby. Not only weight loss but FEELING good. Feeling good is ultimately the ONLY thing a new mom should be worrying about. Part of that feeling good is FOOD.
- 7 1/2 pounds is about how much the baby will weigh by the end of pregnancy.
- 1 1/2 pounds goes to your placenta.
- 4 pounds is attributed to more fluid volume.
- 2 pounds goes to your uterus.
- 2 pounds goes to breast tissue.
- 4 pounds because of increased blood volume.
- 7 pounds is attributed to maternal stores of fat, protein, and other nutrients.
- 2 pounds for the amniotic fluid.
- Total: 30 pounds
30 pounds at minimum Momma’s! And a lot of that will slowly fall off those first few weeks after you have baby and your body slowly realizes your baby is no longer in there.
SO HOW DO I SAFELY LOSE WEIGHT AFTER BABY IS BORN? Is there a specific postpartum weightloss plan I should follow?
- Drink water! Like SO MUCH WATER
- Eat Whole Foods
- Lean Proteins
- Fiber Filled Carbohydrates
- Healthy Fats
- Track your Macros
- Sleep!! (seriously sleep, that can be adding to your weight gain or lack of losing)
Be grateful
- Healing Herbs
- Intermittent Fasting & Carb Cycling (THE RIGHT WAY!)
IF you are a new mom looking to lose the baby weight, and feeling taunted by the wraps, the pills, the juice cleanses, the exercising for hours on end–don’t do it. Because that will leave you empty, more tired, stressed and annoyed that it’s not working. As a momma you have so much on your plate, worrying about what diet to do or what you can’t have is stressful.
IN CONCLUSION:
In order to lose weight after pregnancy, naturally you need to eat GOOD food–veggies, lean proteins, whole foods, healthy fats and drink water! Vitamins and minerals are also essential so that your body can build back its depleted stores.
